As per the official reports, approximately 1000 players are going to register their names for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 Tournament.
Only 250 players out of these players can be shortlisted for the Tata IPL Mega Auctions of this year.
The eight old teams have been retained for the IPL in which a total of 27 players are in their squads.
The retained players involve 19 Indian capped players, four uncapped players, and four foreigners.
The likes of Delhi Capitals, Chennai Super Kings, the Mumbai Indians, and Kolkata Knight Riders have retained four players each.
On other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals, and the Royal Challengers Bangalore have retained three players each.
Punjab Kings has retained just two players only.
The two new franchises (i.e. Ahmedabad, and Lucknow) will get allowed to select three players each in their squad from the nominated players’ pool. From these players, they may select only one player by the deadline date i.e. 20.01.2024.
